We have an Announcement!
Well, we are excited to announce that we are expecting baby #2! Baby #2 will be making it's arrival around June 20th. We are very excited. This baby has been prayed for and hoped for by our whole family, including Isaac. He has been praying for a brother or sister. So needless to say, this was a welcome discovery! It's quite a comical story how we found out about this. But, if you just want to know, you'll have to ask. It's a long story, and is much better in person! I had my first pregnancy appointment today. We found out that I'm about 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant. We are so thankful for this baby. And we are already praying for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy, whole baby.
When we first told Isaac, he said, "I want a BIG brother." After stifiling a laugh, I said, "Well, we can't really do that because YOU'RE going to be the big brother." So, then he said, "Well, then I want a sister." He recently decided that he wanted a "brother AND a sister" with heavy emphasis on "AND". I'm no so sure about that one either! He is so cute. I was explaining to him the other day that mommy might need more rest now and I might need his help more often now that God is making a baby inside my belly. I talked to him and explained for about 10 minutes. I thought he was intently listening, but after I finished my spill, he said, "Mom, when you take off your clothes, do you just take the baby off too?" Haha...kids say the darndest things, huh?
Well, again, we are very excited and thrilled with this news. So far, I've only had a touch of nausea, nothing that can't be taken care of with a few crackers. My worst symptom so far is being emotional. Just about anything at any time can make me cry. So, that's a little annoying, but I'll take it! Can't complain about a pregnancy that you've prayed and waited for! I'm going to do my absolute best at documenting this pregnancy. I don't feel like I did with Isaac because we were so busy with so many life changes. This time, I'm so glad that I get to stay at home. Hopefully, I will be able to thoroughly enjoy this one!
