Life Changes

Well, since the last blog, needless to say, there have been some MAJOR life changes in the Wood family.  After much prayer, we decided that Tim would join my dad's plumbing and electrical company, Gen-Co (501) 215-1999...shameless plug.  Anyway, we also decided to move to Morrilton.  So, we readied our house for the market.  We worked really, really, really hard on it!  In fact, we did all the things that we've always wanted to do to it.  It looked great, and was a little hard to leave.  But, not bad!  We went ahead and temporarily moved to Bee Branch because there's just no way that I was going to be able to keep the house clean enough to show to people on a whim.  Well, all our hard work payed off.  In one week, we had 8 showings and two offers.  It was awesome.  We accepted a great offer that basically gave us exactly what we asked for.  It was truly a God thing to sell the house so quickly in such difficult economic times.

Our search for a house in Morrilton wasn't quite as easy.  I guess some things have to be hard or you wouldn't appreciate it.  Anyway, we've looked at several houses and we actually made an offer on one in Oppelo, but it turned out that it was rotten underneath, and we decided not to go there....So, we are in the process of making another offer on a house that is actually right behind my parents' house.  We're very excited.  It will be very nice to be close if all goes well.

Isaac is a little confused with all the commotion in our life right now, but he's doing well otherwise.  He absolutely loves listening to Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Johnny Cash.  He would rather play with his guitar than play with toys just about.  He entertains us in the evenings by dancing to the Beach Boys.  Visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5ZenYTxt1E for a hilarious video of Isaac dancing and playing his guitar to "Jailhouse Rock".  He's said some real doosies lately.  A few stories that I don't think I've already told...  The other day at Wal-Mart, the cashier said to Isaac, who was sitting nicely in the buggy (thank goodness!), "Well, what's your name?" And Isaac said, "My name is Elvis".  The cashier laughed and said, "Well, I bet you don't even know who Elvis is."  He replied matter-of-factly, "Yes, I do."  And she said, "Well your momma wasn't even born when Elvis was popular" and Isaac said, "My momma is Jerry Lee Lewis".  Now tell me that that's not Tim's son.  Unfortunately, I can't even think of all the hilarious things he's said here lately.  It just seems like a blur!

Well, we will try to keep everyone better posted from now on.  We'll post pictures of our new house as soon as we get one!
